About me

MBACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist

EMCC Accredited Coach at Practitioner level

My previous experience includes counselling adults in a charitable setting dealing with a range of issues including relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, stress and abuse. In addition, I am experienced in working with teenage students and adults in bereavement, having been a therapist for a college and a bereavement support organisation.

Before becoming a therapist I worked in adoption for over 10 years helping to find families for children and providing support to adopters going through their adoption journey. I therefore have a range of experience in helping people through challenges.

I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I work to their ethical framework.  In order to gain my ‘Accredited’ status from the BACP, I have had to demonstrate through extensive client hours, essays and ongoing professional learning that I have high standards of knowledge, experience and development.

I am an EMCC Accredited Coach at Practitioner level. I am also currently working towards further accreditation at Senior level. I am passionate about working with people to bring positive change to their lives. As a dual trained coach I am able to work with you on a deeper level to allow you to identify blindspots that may be holding you back.

If you are coming to me for counselling and wish to have coaching at the end of our therapy work together, I am able to offer this transition and we can discuss this in our initial call.
